MISSIONARY SUNDAY.
OBSERVANCE AT DEVONPORT.
Special services were held at the Devonport Presbyterian Church yesterday to observe Missionary Sunday. The speaker at the morning service was the Rev. Y. S. Chau, minister of the Auckland Chinese Mission Church, his message to the congregation being interpretetl by Miss M. Findlay, who spent somo years as a missionary in the Canton Villages Mission. The evening servico was conducted by the.Rev. A. M. Elliffe, whose subject was "Should Wc Believo in Missions?"
Special retiring offerings were taken up for tho memorial fund for the late -Rev. William Mawson, formerly foreign missions secretary.-
