STRONG ARM STRETCH.

Strength tussles of this nature seem an essential part of daily life with the young and vigorous. This time a strong stick is required—like a scout's pole or a walking stick.

The two contestants stand back to back with arms at full stretch above their heads. All four hands grip the stick firmly, the hands of each player being the width of his shoulders apart. Then each tries to pull the stick forward and downward in front of his head and against his chest. The one who succeeds is the winner. The bout is lost if a handgrip is released.
