Immediately after tying the scion in place the union should be covered with a coat of grafting wax. The oldfashioned mixture of clay and cow manuro was all right, but it is not so
! J ' ' easily applied or so effective as grafting wax. If the new wax tape is used the whole of tho union and also the top of tho scion should have a coat of Stockholm tar applied.
