WORLD PROBLEMS FOR THE YOUNG. A well-informed little book, giving ft world survey for voting people, is Hebe Spaull's "World Problems of Today—Explained for Boys and Girls" (Student Christian Movement Press). It is made lip of 12 chapters, in which Miss Spaull, who is a Christian idealist, explains in simple, lucid, concise fashion such problcnis as Nationalism, Fascism, Communism, over-population, production and distribution and world education. She has had the benefit of the help and advice of various experts regarding the chapters dealing with their special province, and has suel} a gift of clear and suggestive writing that young readers will follow her with unflagging interest and understanding. It is a book that might well be used in schools "by teachers in their "current events" talks, in debating societies and junior Bible classes, as well as in connection with boy scouts and. girl guides.
