CHRISTMAS STORIES.
"STAR" COMPETITION. THREE PRIZES. The "Auckland Star," in conjunction with the "Christchurch StarSun," will again hold a Christmas short story competition this year. Last year a large number of entries were received from all over New Zealand. Writers are invited to send in, not later than November 20, stories of about 2500 words. These must have a connection with Christmas and preference will be given to those with a New Zealand setting. Three prizes are offered—four guineas, two guineas and one guinea.
