ISLAND PLEASURE RESORT.—Mr. Hugo Brassey and his wife, who was the Baroness Chrisla von Bodenhausen, have purchased Dunk Island, off the coast of Queensland as a pleasure resort for deep sea fishing.
STOWED AWAY ON REMUERA. — This lvoman, an Australian, arrived in Auckland this morning as the guest of the passengers on the Remuera. Stranded in London, she stowed away on the boat the night before it sailed and remained hidden in a pantry for two days before reporting to the captain. A collection amongst those on board paid her passage.
