RAILWAY SMASH BEHAVIOUR.
FINE PRESENCE OF MIND SHOWN.

Reference to the splendid behaviour of the 61 children who were involved in the Edendale train smash was made at a meeting of the Southland Education Board to-day by Mr. H. Smith, who said the boys on the train had been coolness itself-and had rendered every possible assistance. He was very proud of the children. Mr. W. Bell ..supported Mr. Smith's re,marks, and referred particularly to the presence of mind of the girls.
