Congratulations were received from the Dominion executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union by the Te Awamutu branch at its monthly meeting upon the attainment by the branch, of the largest membership in the Dominion.

Hearty accord was given to the suggestion that the Unemployment Board should permit the employment of mobile gangs on ragwort eradication, farmers to pay the usual harvesters' wages.
