FARM HORSES SOUGHT.

SALE IN WAIKATO. HAMILTON, Thursday. There is still an unsatisfied demand for draught horses in the Waikato. This war-, demonstrated at Claudelands to-day, when up to £49 was paid for useful farm animals at' an auction sale conducted by G. W. Vercoe and Company, Limited. There was an entry of JBO animals of all classes, the majority being broken draughts. There was a large attendance and bidding became more brisk as the sale, advanced. The best price of £49 was paid by Mr. C. C. Parry, of Rukuhia, for a bay gelding sold by Mr. J. Gee, of Auckland. A grey mare offered by Mr. G. McNickle, of Frankton, was sold to Mr. S. J. Harding, of 'i'e uku, for £48 10/.

Other good prices for draughts were:— Mr. W. F. Saunders, Bruntwood, threeyear filly, to Mr. B. A. Sweeney, Patetonga, £46; Mr. G. McNickle, Frankton, bay gelding, G. Paton, Koromatu, £45; Mr. J. Prendergast, Ngaruawahia,' threeyear Clydesdale colt, to Mr. C. F. X. Frost, Tauhei, 43gs; Mr. G. Gee, Auckland, two geldings, to Mr. H. Teddy. Waerenga, £40 each; Mr. W. G. Moss, Rukuhia, mare, T. Healy, Rukuhia, £40. .
