HOCKEY.

OLD RIVALS TO MEET. SOMERVILLE V. ST. LUKE'S. For to-morrow the Auckland Hockey Association has set down for decision at Remuera the semi-final round of the Davis Cup championship. The position of the three leading teams makes the competition very interesting and the result of the Somerville-St. Luke's clash will have an important bearing on the final result. This match . will be played on No. 2 ground at 3.5 p.m. and should provide, thrills galore. Both teams will be striving hard for a win, and the usual keen rivalry between these two teams is sure to produce spectacular hockey. The curtain-raiser on the same ground at 1.50 p.m. will be .between Grammar Old Boys and Papatoetoe, and as the suburban team only went down by the odd goal in their last meeting it will be interesting to see if they can improve on their previous performance. On the No. 3 ground at 3.5 p.m. Wesley will try conclusions with Mount Eden, and it is quite possible that the rugged tactics of the Mount Eilenites may upset the more orthodox methods of the Wesley combination. Junior and ladies' matches will be played as advertised in last night's "Star. Following are the teams : — MOUNT EDEN. Seniors. — Tangye, Busliell, Bowden, Wells, Jenkins, Oliver, Clark, Hayson, Horspool, Brown, Horspool.
