RUGBY FOOTBALL.

CLUB COMPETITIONS. TO-MORROW'S ATTRACTIONS. GRAFTON V. TECHNICAL OLD BOYS. The Auckland Rugby Union's senior grade championship will l>c resumed to-morrow, after an interval oi' live weeks 011 account of representative matches. There • has been no let-up in club training, however, and fast and open exhibitions should be the order of the day. The grounds will bo on the hard side, but while players will notice a difference when they are brought down the conditions should tend, if anything, to speed up the play. The next two or three matches will be of great importance, and players may be expected to give of their best. The main game of the day at Eden Park will bo the meeting of the two leading teams. Grafton and Technical Old Boys. This should be a keenly and evenly contested game. Technical have been playing at the top of their form in recent matches, and they will he out to add fresh laurels to their list after their success in winning I the Jubilee Cup competition. Grafton can also be expected to be going great guns ' throughout, but they are likely to find their opponents tough nuts to crack. The curtain-raiser will be provided by Marist and l'onsonby, and another fine clash should result. Marist have the better set of forwards, but speed among the backs may possibly carry Ponsonby to victory. Out at Waikaraka Park, Onehunga, Manukau will pit their strength against College Rilleri, and for this game, which should also be interesting, Manukau are the favourites. The attraction at the Show Grounds will bo the meeting of University and Otahuhu. This game should be productive of some fast and open play, with the backs handling scientifically and the sides teaming well.
