SIX BIG VESSELS ARRIVE,

MONOWAI FOR VANCOUVER

Tliu port is particularly busy to-day, six overseas vessels arriving at the week-end and most of the berths arc occupied. Other ships arc due to load early this week, and it will bo ono of the best for some time. The rain cleared before noon and did not interfere very much with loading. The Union Company's liner Monowai arrived from Sydney at 7.'M a.m., berthing at the Queen's wharf. Shu is taking the Aorangi's run, and leaves for Vancouver, via .Suva and Honolulu, at 11 a.m. to-

morrow. Port Fairy arrived from New Plymouth at 8 a.m. to-day. She will complete loading here and sails for London oji Thursday morning, via Cape Horn. (Farmers' Co-op.)

Melbourne Maru leaves Wellington. this evening for Auckland. She arrives on Wednesday evening and is expected to sail for Japan, via Sydney and Brisbane, on Thursday. (Farmers' Co-op.)

New Zealand arrived shortly before nine o'clock this morning and berthed later at the Western wharf. She has petrol from San Pedro for the Texas Oil Company, and leaves for Wellington at 7 a.m. to-morrow. (A.G.1 ,, .)

Triona arrived yesterday morning from Ocean Island with 6000 tons of phosphates, and is discharging at the King's wharf. She returns direct to Nauru about Wednesday. (8.P.C.)

Surrey has been delayed by rain at Opua. She is expected to leave in the morning for Auckland to complete loading for London and West Coast ports. (N.Z.S. Co.)

Rangitane arrived from Napier at 7.30 a.m. yesterday to complete loading for London. She is at the Central wharf, and is due to sail at daylight on Friday. (X.Z.S. Co.)

Mataroa leaven for Wellington on Wednesday afternoon to complete discharge of her cargo from London. (L.D.N.)

Canadian Constructor is due early on Thursday morning from Napier, sailing tho same day for New York, Boston and Montreal, (C.N.L.)
