WESLEY Y.M. INSTITUTE.
ANNUAL REUNION HELD. Nearly 120 members ind old boys of the Wesley Young Men's Institute gathered at Wesley Hall, Pitt Street, on Saturday night, when the annual banquet and reunion was held. The president. Rev. E. T. Olds, who presided, expressed pleasure at the large number of ex-members present. In proposing a toast to the Institute, the Rev. W. Walker, of Hemuera Church, referred to the fine opportunity available for the development of all-round manhood. The general secretary, Mr. G. C. Riddell, replied and reported on the activities of the Institute during the year.
Other toasts honoured were:—"Church and School,'' proposed bv Mr. A. S. Thrift, and replied to by the Rev. E. T. Olds, minister of Pitt Street Methodist Church; "Kindred Associations," proposed by Mr. A. W. Bryant, and replied to by Mr. C. R, Rcnner, of the All Saints' Church Cadets; and "Absent Members," proposed by Mr. E. 11. Halstead, M.A.
A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. S. Thrift and other ladies of the Pitt Street Church who had so ably arranged the banquet, and the reunion closed with an enjoyable musical programme.
There was a iarse attendance at the Institute's rally tea on Sunday, when Air. C. E. Archibald (rave an address on the League of Nations. Thb was followed by the annual "Ring and Gallery" service in the Methodist Church.
