PAKURANGA HUNT.

POINT-TO-POINT RACES;

The annual point-to-point meeting of the Pakuranga Hunt Club was held at Pigeon Mount on Saturday under perfect conditions. There was a large attendance ot enthusiasts, and an excellent day's sport was provided. There were a few spills in the various events, but the only one o u serious nature was when Wanganui fell at the last fence in the Ladies' Race, and, breaking a leg, had to be destroyed. Results :— Children's Scurry.—Diamond (Master G. Guy) 1, Bubbles (Master I). Moore) 2, Pixie (Master It. Milieu) 3. A close finish. Members' High-weight Race, about three miles —Mr. W. J. Brooks' Maslioor, 11.0 (H. Brooks), 1; Mr. J. W. Short's Pinto, 11.0 (A. Short), l>; Mr. C. Taylor's Arabesque, 11.0 (owner), 3. Won by naif a length, third horse a length away. Members' Heavy-weight Race, about three miles.—Mr. B. M. Myer's Bamba, 13.0 (G. Thorburn), 1; Mr. P. Ii: Smith's Dominican, 12.7 (P. Harrison), 2; Mr. H. G. Wooller's Tomboy, 12.7 (owner), 3. Won by a length. Ladies' Race, about two miles. —Mrs. J. Bull's Vilma, 10.0 (owner), 1; Mr. C. Taylor's Safe Conveyance, 9.7 (Mrs. J. Montgomery), 2; Mrs. T. Scott's Vixen, 9.7 (owner). Won pulling up. Farmers' Race, about three miles. —Miss B Master's Dusky Form, 11.7 (A. Short), 1: Mr. A. Millen's Gale, 11.7 (owner), 2; Mr. N. Ellett's Little Jim, 11.7 (owner), 3. Won by four lengths. Open Point-to-Point Race, about three miles —Mr. W. J. Brooks' Mashoor, 11.7 (H Brooks), 1; Mr. H. Gage's Lady JD.K.Z., 11.0 (J. Muir), 2; Mr. J. G. Langton's High Catch, 11.0 (M. Burrill), 3. Won by three lengths. At the conclusion of the programme the prizes were presented by the master, Mr. H. Bullock-Webster.
