LAUGHS AND MYSTERY.
IN NEW MAJESTIC FILM
An exciting mystery film with many laughs, "One New York Night," featuring Franchot Tone as a cowboy turned amateur sleuth with the most amazing consequences, will provide entertainment for patrons of the Majestic Theatre for the week commencing to-morrow.
Concerning a murder committed in a metropolitan hotel, the story presents a unique cross-section of life eeen in the various guests who become involved in tihe mysterious crime. A young cowboy from Wyoming, a private secretary, a telephone operator, a Russian countess, and many other personalities find themselves directly mixed up in the affair. Franchot Tone, who has attained widespread popularity as a romantic actor, portrays the cowboy who is visiting the city in search of a brunette to marry. Una Merkel is seen as the telephone operator who joins forces with him in order to clear suspicion from the countess.
The Majestic is also offering a fine supporting bill, including pictures of the Abyssinian troops, the Hollywood stars at the "Coconut Grove," and a Tlielma Todd-Patey Kelly, comedy, "Sing, Sister, Sing."
