CANADA AND AMERICA.
RECIPROCAL TARIFF PARLEYS. (Received 9.30 a.m.) OTTAWA, September 9. A reduction in duty on more than 700 natural manufactured American products, in return for a 50 per cent reduction in the United States tariff on specified Canadian natural products forms the main basis of the outcome of reciprocity negotiations that were disclosed to-day. The Canadian products that will be affected include lumber, fish, potatoes, milk, cream, live cattle, and several minerals.
