The Auckland .Referees' Aeeociation, with Mr. L. E. Bull presiding, met last evening, when portion of the proceedings was devoted to a scheme to aeeist the charity funds of the ladiee' committee. The junior management committee advised that in certain caees where oifending players were being dealt with, the attendance of the referee to give evidence would be requested. . Mr. T. Hill, the official critic, adjudicated upon a two-night debate by the general committee on the wisdom of the advantage rule being applied to the scrunw. In a considered decision he gave good reasons for judgment in favour of the negative debaters. The ladiee' committee of the Auckland League advised that the annual ball would be held at the Peter. Pan Cabaret on October 2, when the co-operation of the association was invited. Arising from a club report it was decided that where a referee found a ball to be unsuitable and refused ite use, the fact be recorded on the team card. It was decided that the new badges be ruled official, and the question of rights and tenure be left to the executive.
