MATAMATA CLUB.
THE ANNUAL MEETING. In the absence of the president, Mr. J. W. Anderson-, Mr. J. Price presided over the annual meeting of the Matamata Kacing Club. The balance-sheet, details of which were recently published in tha "Star," showed a profit of £667_ 7/4 on tlie racing account, and £123 18/5 on the farm account. The election of officers resulted: — Patron. Mr. C. Hf Clinkard, M.P.; president, Mr. J. W. Anderson; vice-presidents,, Mcnere. G. Johnston, J. W. Time and CJ Casey; committee, Messrs. E. Johnston, J. Landells, W. C. Vincent, J. Pohlen and C G. Payze; hon. auditor, Mr. L. H. Little; hon. secretary, Mr. B. C. Taylor.' It was decided to erect a stewards' stand and rooms, provided the committee could make satisfactory financial arrangements. NEW ZEALAND CUP ENTRANTS. Six-year-olds figure largely in the NewZealand Cup nominations, there being twenty-one of them, while there are fifteen ■five-year-olds. Nine are four years,. eight, are seven years, four are three years and three are eight years. Kamo, the veteran of the field, is nine years olds.
