LINER DAMAGED.
SEQUEL TO COLLISION. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 0.30 a.m.) RUGBY, September 8. The liner Doric, with which the French steamer Formigny collided off the coast of Portugal, arrived at Vigo, Spain, on Friday morning under her own steam. A preliminary survey of the damage was completed. The captain anticipates that the Doric will be able to continue her voyage to Liverpool in four or five days. He pays a high tribute to the calmness and presence of mind of the passengers who were transferred without casualties to the liners Orion and Viceroy of India, in which they are now proceeding to England.
