BARROW DERBY ENDS.

Melbourne Pair's Trek to Sydney. THREE WEEKS TO SPARE. SYDNEY, September S. With throe weeks to spare, the Melbourne barrowmen reached Sydney at 4 p.m. yesterday and received a deafening ovation from a large crowd. Just prior to reaching the goal, Mr. W. Darwin, the pusher, had donned his busby and uniform of the Brighton Band, of which lit is drum-major. Mr. Darwin was suffering from poisoning in both legs, which were heavily bandaged on the latter part of his 600-mile journey. "This is the most autographed barrow in the world," said Mr. W. Amiguet, the passenger, who also was wearing his band uniform. "Thousands of names and initials have been scratched on it since we left Melbourne. Even Mr. Darwin's leggings have been autographed."
