FARMERS' CO-.OP. CANTERBURY FiRM. INCREASED PROFITS SHOWN. (By Telegraph. — Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. A net profit of £33,367 for the year ended July 31 is disclosed in the annual report and accounts of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association of Canterbury, Limited. The profit is £5793 greater than it was last year, and compares with a. net loss of £92.218 in 1933. The gross profit, at £162,317, is £7.')40 greater than.it was last year. The report states: "It is proposed to allocate out of the net profits for the year the sum of £1G.597 ag.ii-.ist the deficiency shown on the balance-sheet, and to distribute the remainder of the net profit, amounting to £16,470, in paying the following dividends to shareholders:—4/a per cent on first preference shares, 4 per cent on A preference shares and 2 per cent on B preference shares."

PAYMENT OF DIVIDENDS. \t the annual meeting of C. L. Tunes and Company, Limited, held at Hamilton on Friday, the annual report and balancesheet, which were published in the "Star on August 28/ were adopted. It was decided to pay all arrears of preference dividend, and also a dividend for the past year of 8 per cent on preference end ordinary shares. The dividends will be paid on December 1. The retiring directors, Messrs. A. A. Martin and C. VV. Howard, were re-elected.'
