GRAND OPERA PRIZE.
EXPENSES TO AUSTRAUCA. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The »rand opera contest held in coniunetion with the Wellington competitions was won by Mr. Colin FranklinBrowne, of Wanganui, a tenor. Miss Chrissic Talbot, of Fairlie, was second. Forty-five singers competed for a prize which will provide the expenses of a journey to Ballarat and Melbourne to compete there.
