WOMAN CANDIDATE.
TO OPPOSE MR. FORBES. It is announced from Christcliurch that Mrs. E. A. Hotehkin, of Ainberloy, will stand as the Democrat party candidate for the Hurumii seat, which is held by the Prime Minister, Mr. G. W. Forbes. She has made the condition that the Democrat party should support the present sliding scale of wheat duties.
