N.Z. 'VARSITY ELEVEN.
WINS FINAL TEST IN FIJI. SUVA, September 2. The third and final hockey Test between the New Zealand University team and Suva was won by the visitors by 3 goals to 1. New Zealand again played superior hockey; its stickwork was splendid and its combination the beet of the tour. New Zealand dominated the early stages, and was first to score. Hueton, Ford and Lawry took the ball down field. It was returned to Ford, who netted. Play was even until half-time, only the fine work of the goal-keeper, Hercus, saving New Zealand on several occaeions. Suva was twice very unlucky. Soon after the spell a strong New Zealand attack culminated in Lawry scoring. Immediately Suva reached the circle, Moore scoring. Halfway through the spell Struthers shot the final goal. The New Zealand team visited the old native capital, Bau, on Friday, and received native ceremonies. A farewell ball was held this evening. The team will sail by the Monterey to-morrow. The first Test match was drawn—2-all. The New Zealand University team won the second Test 2—l.
