COMMUNITY CREDITS.
DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS,
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.)
MATAMATA, Monday.
At a meeting of the Matamata Chamber of Commerce the following remit was approved for the conference of New Zealand Chambers of Commerce:-^
"That conference affirms that money, being merely the vehicle for the credit of thei community, it should be governed solely by the real credit of the community as represented by the. productive capacity of the community. Thus in order to ensure that money performs its true function of operating as the vehicle of credit, i.e., by being the medium of exchanging and distributing goods and for services only, it is therefore desirable that the administration of financial policy should be vested in a national authority responsible only to the Sovereign and his people, such policy being designed to ensure that the fullest measure of consumable goods are of right distributed to all citizens."
