SOUTHERN CROSS MILEAGE.
It is estimated that the total mileage covered by the Southern Cross is 400,000. The main flights have been the Polar flight with Sir Hubert Wilkins, the trans-Pacific flight of 1928, Australia to England, two flights across Australia, six flights across the Tasman Sea, Dublin to New York, across America, to Koepang to pick up the air mail, to Akyab with mail, and various flights on the Sydney-Brisbane service. In addition was the flight half-way across the Tasman and back.
