NORTHCOTE WELFARE WORK.
The August meeting of the Northcote "Welfare League was well attended. The president, Mrs. A. J. Beck, stated that the winter had created heavy demands for warm clothing and firing. Footwear had been provided in necessitous cases. Mrs. W. J. Moreland was elected a member of the committee. The annual meeting was fixed for Monday, August 19, and a decision was made to join the Auckland > ranch of the League of Nations Union.
