THAMES GIRLS' CLUB.
The Thames Girls' Club held its monthly reunion at the Druids' Hall recently when members and friends enjoyed a musical programme. The following artists contributed: Mrs. Sykes, Misses Plant, Nola Jamieson, Lorna Frith, Iris Cameron. Farquhar, Valerie Hovvearth, Mr. D. Martin and the boys' mouth organ band. Miss Gladys Hutchinson won the competition prize. Supper was served by Mrs. R. Stubling (convener) and her committee of helpers. Mesdames W. G. Aitken, A. McPlierson. H. Thorburn, F. Davison, L. Nicholls, T. Wright, O. Benjamin, G. Andrews. Misses C. Gillespie. C. E. Wilton and K. Rowlings. The reunion took the form of a book evening and all books donated are to be handed over to the Victoria League for distribution to backblock settlers.
