SHOT IN ANKLE.
MISHAP ON PUTARUBTT FARM. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PUTARURU, Wednesday. Mr. R. J. Wilson, of Elor Farm, was shot above one of his ankles yesterday morning when an employee of a Cambridge boiling-down works was'killing some cattle on the farm. A shot was fired at a cow, which was not killed. The cow moved into line with Mr. Wilson, who was not noticed by the man handling the gun, and a second shot struck Mr. Wilson. A bone was fractured and the injured man was taken to the Waikato Hospital.
