THIEF IN STORE.
GOODS WORTH £60 STOLEN
GREAT SOUTH ROAD BURGLARY.
A thief entered the Great South Road branch grocery of Marriott's Stores, Limited, last night and stole an assortment of groceries, cigarettes and tobacco, of the total value of £00.
Entrance was effected by breaking open the door at the rear of the premises with a jemmy. Another glass door was forced to allow of entry into the shop. "The thief, whoever he was, knew his groceries," said a member of the firm this morning, "for he made a selection of the best quality lines, stealing expensive patent medicines and other goods."
So much was removed that it is believed the thief, or thieves, used a motor car to transport the stolen property.
