FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.

The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: — Strong south-west winds, of gale force at places, but decreasing; weather cold and changeable, with passing showers, but gradually improving; seas rough to high. The last portion of the recent extensive depression is passing eastwards, and an anti-cyclone is advancing over the Tasman Sea.
