FUNERAL AT ONEHUNGA.
TRIBUTE TO ESTEEMED RESIDENT. The funeral of the late Mr. Erneet McCutchen Tapp took place yesterday at Waikaraka Cemetery, and was one of the largest seen in Onehunga for many., years. The great respect in which Mr. Tapp was held was manifested in the representative attendance, and the many floral tributes received. Among those present were Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P., brethren of Court Pride of Onehunga, A.0.F., the Te Papapa Tennis Club and of the Onehunga Poultry Club, of which societies the late Mr. Tapp had been president and secretary respectively for some years. lie had also been a member of the Jersey Breeders' Association. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. T. H. C. Partridge, vicar of St. Peter's, and was followed by the Foresters' service, read by Bro. R. G. Laking, P.C.R. Mr. Tapp died on Monday in the Waikato Hospital, where ho was admitted on Juno 22 after being knocked down by a truck while walking on the Hamil-ton-Cambridge Road in company with Miss Lydia M. Stokes, of Oneb-unga.
