MENUHIN FAREWELL.
Owing to the degree of public interest shown in the plebiscite programme to be presented by Yehudi Menuhin, indications are that the farewell concert to be given in the Town Hall next Thursday evening will be a record for the tour. Over 900 applications for seats have been received from country districts. The general plan will open this morning at Lewis Eady's for all reserved sections. A special area has been allotted for students, all the seats in which will be open for reservation. All country orders are filed, and seats are marked off in the order of receipt. Owing to the fact that Yehudi Menuhin i« fully booked until 1940, this may be the final opportunity of hearing this sensational artist in New Zealand. At the co: :lueion of the New Zealand tour Menuhin and his family will sail by the Mariposa for Australia. The artist will appear in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth prior to departure for South Africa, where ten concerte will be given.
