COVER FOR THE BACKS.
In last week's notes there appeared an error which gave to the context an entirely erroneous meaning. In referring to the coverage of the backs by the forwards the paragraph should have read: . . . Two forwards on the open side, and one forward on the blind side (men pickcd for their speed and all-round ability), should- be trained, as soon as the ball is out of the scrum and the word given to break, to make as fast as they can for their own corner flag. I do not mean to put their heads down and go all the distance, but to start in-tliat direction. ;
