A LETTER FROM FRANCE.

Some of "Wendy's Sunbeams may remember that last year she had ijuitc a fascinatiny mystery to solve, when patches arriced from Sunbeams with quaint names such as Safran, Amande, Airelle, Gardcnie and Viornc. In turned out that these were little French folk resident in Auckland. Now a letter has arrived all the wa-y from France, from little Qardenie, who, it seems, has returned to her native land. Normandie Caen, France, April 3, 1935. Ma cherc Wendy,— Though I am come away from New Zealand to my own country, I remember you, Wendy, et Je Budget and the Sunshines. I have made my patch and I ain to send it to ma taute, who will send it to you. I have hope you will have a good year. This wool canie from New Zealand. I bought it to knit something on the voyage, but, of course, I did not, there was no time, but perhaps it will like to be a sunshine patch and go back to its home. La souer English et tres charmante, who teaches me at my school, amuses herself at my talk not English and not Francais, but inixup, maLs les enfants in my class they learn many English from me.
