Mr. H. H. Corbin returned from the south by train yesterday.
Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., left for the south by the Limited last night.
The Hon. L. M. Isitt. M.L.C., of Canterbury, arrived in Auckland this morning.
Mr. A. E. Davy, organiser for the Democrat party, arrived from Wellington yesterday.
Colonel Bowerbank, D.M.S., of Wellington. is staying with Dr. Garfield Stewart, at Takapuna.
Mr. L. W. Nelson, a shareholders' director of the Mortgage Corporation, arrived by the Limited yesterday.
Colonel and Mrs. W. B. Brittain, of Auckland, are leaving on the Aorangi on Tuesday for a short holiday in Suva.
Dr. K. S. Phillips is expected to return to-morrow from Wellington, where he is attending a meeting of the Broadcasting Board.
Mr. C. G. White, of Wellington, a director of the Union Steam Ship Company, is in Auckland oil a business visit, and' is at the Station Hotel.
Pilot Officer Hugh Dawson, of Auckland, who joined the Royal Air Force last year, has been transferred to India, and will take up his station there in September.
Dr. Eugene Lynch, radium officer at the Wellington Hospital, who has been doing post-graduate work in radiology in London and on the Continent for the past year, will return to New Zealand next month.
