SAFE BLOWN OPEN.
THIEVES SECURE £38. burglary at martinborough. (By Telegraph. —I'rcss Association.) MASTERTON, Friday. The sum of £38 was secured by burglars in the early hours of this morning when thev blew open the safe m the Featherston County Council olhce at Martinborough. It appeared to be the work 01 professionals, the sound of the explosion being deadened with mats, sacks, etc. Two"cash boxes were smashed to pieces and papers were strewn about.
