THEFT OF GLOVES.
INTRUDER IN HOTEL LOUNGE,
MAN WITH LENGTHY RECORD.

When Alexander McGregor, alias O'Connor, pleaded guilty to the theft of a pair of gloves in the Police Court today, Sergeant Kelly said accused entered a hotel yesterday afternoon and annoyed a traveller who was sitting in the lounge. He picked up the gloves before leaving. An hour later a constable arrested accused while he was wearing the gloves. It was McGregor's twenty-fifth appearance in Court, he having been convicted ten times for theft.
Accused was sentenced to three months' hard labour.
