ALL GAMES AT CARLAW PARK. MARIST TACKLES MT. ALBERT. PONSONBY PLAYS DEVONPORT. The chief game in the thirteen-a-eide code to-morrow at Carlaw Park is the meeting of Marist and Mount Albert. They drew 11 all the first round, and another keen contest is anticipated on Saturday. In the curtain-raiser the contestants will be Ponsonby and Devonport. The latter were 14 points up when they met on June 8. In the three - o'clock game on No. 2 ground City is faced with the task of squaring off a 10-point deficit when xt met Newton six weeks ago. Redwood will have charge of the team, which will stay at the Royal Oak Hotel. Others in the party will be Messrs. W. A. Swift (chairman), R. Ilyland (club captain), W. R. Dick (secretary.) and several supporters. The team is to return Monday morning. The Wellington team includes Simons (ex-Devonport) at full-back, and W. 11. Dustin at centre. Some surprise has been expressed that R. Moisley did not win a place in the forwards.
