BEAT RICHMOND LAST ROUND

More than usual interest attaches to the Auckland Rugby League's senior championship matches to-morrow. The principal game ,is the meeting of Richmond and Marist Old Boys, and, as the latter thirteen defeated the champions 10 —S on Mai 25, Richmond will be keen for revenge. As Marist have been beaten only once more than Richmond this season", there arc many followers of the former hopeful of a repetition of the first round victory.

The curtain-raiser also promises to provide plenty oi excitement. Mount Albert had a four-point margin (15 —11) over Devonport in the first round, and the new club's position in the premiership makes it essential to repeat their win of seven weeks ago. If the North Shore side springs a surprise, Mount Albert will still be in a strong position, because the side has played one game less than the actual leaders. Ponsonby (who are feeling pleased after their draw with Richmond last Saturday) and Newton journey to Glen Eden to play their match. The former were ,t\vo points up (IS —lCi) when last they met.
