JUNIOR MANAGEMENT,

SENIOR B HONOURS TO OTAHUHU

At the meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. D. Wilkie presiding, Otahuhu Rovers were congratulated upon winning the senior B championship. The Manukau Club, having notified the names of its second grade team, which beat Papakura, it -was ruled that the match should stand as played. It was decided to appoint a special committee to confer with the Auckland Control Board in regard to the clash of colours among several junior club teams. In reply to an inquiry made by the City Rovers Club -in regard to a sixth grade match with Northcote, it was resolved to notify the. club that no matche3 would be recognised except those controlled by officially-appointed referees. The Devonport Club was granted permission for its third grade team to play at Whangarei on Saturday, with Mr. H. Mann as manager. The/ Otahuhu Club was advised that its fourth grade team would have to be regraded, reweighed and. appear before the board, to qualify for the fifth grade knockout. In connection with a questioned try in the third grade match between Richmond and Norjthcote, the Referees' Association reported and the match was ordered to stand as played. A similar finding was given in the fourth grade match between Point Chevalier and Northcote, in which the referee reported that two 30-ininute spells were played. It was decided to accede to the request of the Referees' Association and urge clubs as far as possible to arrange for suitable linesmen to travel with teams to officiate regularly at suburban matches. Nominations were received for the sixth grade knock-out competition. Three sixth grade players were cautioned for misbehaviour on the field. It was decided that the sixth grade be a full round for the knock-out, and that consideration be given next' week to the third grade proposal. Transfers.—T. Armishaw and B. Bedwell, Akarana third B to A; F. Hulane, Newton to Green Lane B; G. Newton, Devonport to Glenora, subject to regrade by the A.R.L.
