AGED MAN'S DEATH.
While under an anaesthetic for an operation for hernia, Frederick Richard Carder, aged 79, of 4G, Ranfurly Road, Epsom, collapsed and died in the Auckland Hospital at five o'clock on Saturday afternoon. An inquest was opened by the coroner, Mr. W.. R. McKean, S.M., this morning, but was adjourned sine die after evidence of identification had been given by a son.
