Emergency Plan Extended Till June, 1936.
EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM,

RUGBY, July 7.
A memorandum just published explains the financial resolution in connection with the cattle industry emergency provisions. These will provide for their extension in the first instance to the end of June, 1936. It is estimated that the sum which Parliament will bo asked to provide under these provisions for tbo period from October, 1935, to June, 1936, will not exceed £3,000,000. It is proposed also to make provision for a further extension for a period not exceeding four months from the end of June, 1930, subject to the specific authority of Parliament. If crrcumstances should arise which make it necessary for Parliament to be asked to approve such an extension, further liability on the public funds is not expected to exceed £1,333,000. It is intended tiiat these advances, together with those already made, shall be recoverable in full from the proceeds of any levy which may hereafter be collected on imported meat and live stock.
