CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING.
AUCKLAND CLUB,
The monthly clay-bird shoot of the Auckland Gun Club was held at Pakuranga on Saturday under good conditions. Results :— Five Binls Eye-opener.—E. J. Schofield, C. Drysdale and O. Ewlng shot the possible. Ten Birds Handicap Event, for Douglas Ewing Trophy.—This contest was won outright by C. Bovill, on the first barrel. The trophy was presented to the winner by Mr. C. A. Whitney. First-miss-out Match.—C. A. Whitney shot the possible after a shoot-off with D. Ewing. the national champion.
