MR. AGAIt'S ANNOUNCEMENT,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
PALMERSTON NORTH, Sunday
The announcement that the Dairy Board had offered to support the Government in a national scheme of dairy instruction to the extent of £10,000 per annum, was made by Mr. C. P. Agar, deputy-chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Board, at a conference of farmers on Saturday. Mr. Agar also announced that the Dominion Herd Testing Federation would receive certain authority to carry into effect its policy on much wider lines. He stated that owing to the unofficial nature of the federation's constitution some difficulty had been faced in giving effect to its representations. On the understanding that the federation arranged with the Government to meet administrative coste of £3000 per"annum, the board had decided to give'the federation the necessary statutory power for a very complete form of activities.
