TE PUKE BOY SCOUTS.
SUCCESSFUL ACTIVITIES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE PUKE, Saturday. At the second annual meeting of the Pongakawa Boy Scouts the president, Mr. A W. Marsh, gave a summary of the year's activities. The boys had an enjoyable time at the. camp in Auckland m January on the "occasion of the visit of Lord Baden Powell. At the Taneatua rally they won the tug-of-war trophy from the Opotiki troop. The boys were also successful at the Whakatane Show and retained the trophy at the eports meeting held during the' year. Mr Marsh complimented Scout Master Chatfield and assistant-Scout Master C. Crisp on the capable manner in whicn they had-schooled the boys.. He also thanked the committee of local residents which had given willing assistance. Officers were elected as follow:—President, Mr. A. W. Marsh; secretary, Mr. B Cawte; committee, Messrs. I.
