ENGINEER'S DEATH.
KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.
ELDERLY DUNEDIN CITIZEN.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNED.IN, Sunday. On Friday evening Mr. Hentbn Macaulay Davey, aged 84, was knocked down by a motor car and received severe injuries to his legs and left arm, as the result of which he died last night. Mr. Davey had been a prominent resident of Dunedin for a long time, having carried on the business of an architect, engineer and patent agent for 58 jears. He was associated in the designing ol iSt. Joseph's Cathedral and the Exceleioi Hotel Dunedin. He was also interested in the construction of various dredges In Central Otago. He. is survived by a family of five sons, including Mr. A. G. Davey, of Pukekohe, and Captain Davey, of the Monowai, and thre§ daughters,
