WEATHER FORECAST.

FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south at Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton : — Strong westerly winds to gales, backing to south-westerlies, weather unsettled and squally, with heavy showers, and becoming colder; seas rough on east rough to high on west coast. A degp depression is now centred east of the South Island, and an anti-cyclone covers eastern Australia."
