"SOUND CURRENCY."
FRANC BASED ON GOLD. (Received 11 a.m.) PARIS, June 10. M. Marcel Regnier, Minister of Finance, in a Press article, writes that the franc based on gold as a guaranteed, imposing coverage is sound currency on which Britain and America should align their currencies. They should not expect from France a new and impossible devaluation. M. Laval's measures under the Plenary Powers Act are not likely to be announced before the end of the month, when the deputies have departed on their holidays.
