DAIRY BOARD.
MEETINGS IN THE SOUTH. Ward conferences, held under the auspices of the Dairy Board, have already taken place at Dunedin, Stirling and Invercargill, and at each of these three meetings directors pretent have endorsed the board's policy. I At ! hese conferences (states the board) ward delegates for the Dairy Board's Dominion conference in September were elected, and many matters of industry organisation dealt with. Delegates showed keen interest in ihe board's efforts to rationalise the local market and to deal with overlapping in cream collection, which is very bad in some districts.
The question of the board's honoraria came under consideration at these meetings, and the general opinion expressed was that if the board carried out the big programme of work outlined to the meetings, the honoraria originally proposed was not over-generous.
